Exam Session

All exams listed in RWTHonline are tracked, which are accessable with a guest login. Already written exams are not always shown in RWTHOnline.

This site only started recording on a 01/09/2026. Any exam that ended before that date could already be removed from RWTHOnline. Grey bars mark days before the first recording. The Study forecast tab hides them entirely because the projected reach would be misleading, because probably a magnitude of exam registrations are missing.

Each exam is organized by the chair that offers the course. We look up that chair in the RWTHcontacts organization tree and associate its faculty. This does not mean only students from the chair's faculty attend the exam (e.g. some mathematics exams provided by faculty 1 are explicitly for non-mathematicianas).

It shows at which point within the next two weeks (configurable window) the most exam registrations exist, and therefore when probably the busiest study day will be.

We cannot know how the true distribution of the organizer looks like. The purpose is to see how many registrations are "overbooked" for the announced rooms in RWTHOnline. Any surplus above the sum of capacities is shown as "excess" on the top of the bar of a room. This is interesting to see the effect of last-minute deregistration's and whether they lead to a sufficient capacity.
